Sixty four glorious years of Independence. I must admit that freedom most definitely is a wonderful feeling.
All of us are blessed to be born in a free country and to enjoy the rights that we do.
Years ago numerous men and women gave up their lives to free our nation from the British rule and to this day we are reaping the benefits of their struggle and martyrdom. However, it is a fact that today we take our freedom and rights for granted. The Indian Constitution has empowered all Indians, but at the same time, some end up abusing the power too.
Just the other day I was the victim of an individual who took advantage of his right to freedom of speech to publicly embarrass and ridicule me. Moreover, all this happened on national television! The man in question, who from now I shall refer to as Mr Moon, clearly overstepped the limits of what to say when and where, and to my agravation, had no regard or respect for the event at hand or the people concerned.
It was further uncomfortable as I had to stand right next to Mr Moon hearing him diss me in front of an audience. I had to somehow smile through the excruciating process and then continue on as if nothing happened.
Let us not forget to give due respects to the man who chose to exercise this vital fundamental right to rip me and my work apart onstage, for being one of the most talented and highly respected actors of our film industry.
I guess I am just lucky that I am not scarred for life because of my thick rhino skin. I can just about imagine a teary eyed me running out of the stage weeping at being insulted by such a stalwart or even worse me getting back at him. An eye-for-an-eye, a tooth-for-a-tooth.
But somehow I just couldn’t do that either. I had a job at hand and had to complete it. It wasn’t my day or Mr Moon’s. It was the grand finale of one of the finest musical reality shows for kids and they were the stars. The focus had to be on them, not some slanderous statements made by a man pining for attention.
I enjoy the same freedom and rights every other Indian citizen enjoys and till the day I die, I will exercise them. Nobody has the right to tell me otherwise, and even if they do, like in this particular instance, I am sorry to say that the only thing achieved was some cheap publicity and the loss of respect for a so called brilliant actor.

Enthinanu Mathewntey nerey nee thiriyunnathu… You should first understand certain things about Renjini Haridas….Aval UK-il padichu valarnna oru penkochanu…she was not an Anchor by profession, she was a Model…Entering into an entirely different field she has changed the anchoring style and now most of the current TV presenters imitate her…
Avaley bakkiyullavar anukarikkunundenkil, that is just because she has created a new style of herself and people like it …If U still remember Renjini was replaced in Idea Singer Season 3(The anchor of the mimicry program from Pala, forgot her name)…She never used to speak English but they were forced to take Renjini back within 10 episode of that season…I am fully against Jagathy for what he told in front of the entire audience…Jagathy is a good actor but he was using that stage to boast himself and to make people feel about his love for Malayalam…Malayala thanimayey kurichu parayunna ee Jagathy annu pandu Sthree pidanathinu jailil kidannathu(hope you guys remember that)…How can he say about Malayali’s culture being a child molester…does that also come under malayali thanima ??
If Renjini is spoiling the Malayalam language and culture the entire malayali community love it…that’s why she is still standing as an anchor after 5 seasons of Idea singer….Jagathy might receive lot of support in blogs and websites and that is just a typical mallu style

How many of you know/remember that the Same Jagathy was embarrassed by then CM VS in a function held for honoring Jagathy. In that function VS refused to present the so called ponnada to Jagathy ..Nobody come up and said single word againt it.
Finally,
Jagathy is just an accused in Vithura case. He has never been punished in that case..
And long back he has been acquitted from that case..You need to know the difference of accused and punished..
If Jagathy is child molester what would you call who murdered Sister Abhaya???

ഡെക്കാണ്‍ ക്രോണിക്കിളില്‍ പ്രസിദ്ധീകരിച്ചു കണ്ട ഭവതിയുടെ കുറിപ്പ്വായിക്കുകയും അതിനു മുമ്പ് മഞ്ച് സ്റ്റാര്‍ സിങര്‍ ഫൈനലില്‍ തല്‍സമയം സംപ്രേഷണം ചെയ്യുകയും പിന്നീട് ഏഷ്യാനെറ്റ് മുറിച്ചുമാറ്റിയ ശേഷം സംപ്രേഷണം ചെയ്യുകയും ചെയ്ത ജഗതീ ശ്രീകുമാറിന്റെ പ്രസംഗംകേള്‍ക്കുകയും ചെയ്ത ഒരു ശരാശരി മലയാളി എന്ന നിലയില്‍ ഇന്ത്യന്‍ ഭരണഘടന അനുവദിച്ചു തന്നിട്ടുള്ള അഭിപ്രായസ്വാതന്ത്ര്യം ഉപയോഗിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ഏതാനും കാര്യങ്ങള്‍ പറയാന്‍ ഞാനാഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
ഏഷ്യാനെറ്റിലെ അവതാരകയായതിനു ശേഷം ഭവതി ഏതാനും വര്‍ഷമായി നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന പ്രകടനങ്ങള്‍ കണ്ടിട്ടുള്ള ഒരാളെന്ന നിലയില്‍ മലയാള ഭാഷയോട് ഭവതി ചെയ്തുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ക്രൂരതകള്‍ ക്ഷമിക്കാവുന്നതോ കണ്ടില്ലെന്നു നടിക്കാവുന്നതോ അല്ല എന്നു തുറന്നു പറയട്ടെ. ഭവതിയെ വീണ്ടും മലയാളികള്‍ക്കു മുന്നിലേക്കു തള്ളിവിടുന്ന ഏഷ്യാനെറ്റിനും തന്റെ മലയാളം നന്നാക്കില്ല എന്നു വാശിയുള്ളതുപോലെ വള്‍ഗര്‍ ആയ ഭാഷാപ്രയോഗം ആവര്ത്തിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്ന ഭവതിക്കും ഇക്കാര്യത്തില്‍ തുല്യ ഉത്തരവാദിത്വമാണുള്ളത്. ഗുജറാത്തികളും പഞ്ചാബികളുമായ ഐഎഎസ്, ഐപിഎസ് ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്‍മാര്‍ വരെ മൂന്നു മാസം കൊണ്ട് മലയാളം വെള്ളം പോലെ പറയാന്‍ പഠിക്കുന്ന കേരളത്തിലാണ് അശ്ലീലം എന്നു വിശേഷിപ്പിക്കേണ്ട തരത്തിലുള്ള മലയാളപ്രയോഗത്തിലൂടെ ഭവതി വിളയാടുന്നത്.
I was the victim of an individual who took advantage of his right to freedom of speech to publicly embarrass and ridicule me – എന്ന് ഭവതിയുടെ കുറിപ്പില്‍ കണ്ടു. ആരാധ്യനായ ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാര്‍ ചില അവതാരകമാരെപ്പറ്റിയാണ് അവിടെ പരാമര്‍ശിച്ചത്. രഞ്ജിനി ഹരിദാസ് എന്ന അവതാരകയെ അദ്ദേഹം പരാമര്‍ശിച്ചിരുന്നില്ല. മലയാളത്തില്‍ വേറെയും ടിവി ചാനലുകളും അതിലൊക്കെ ഡസന്‍ കണക്കിനു റിയാലിറ്റി ഷോകളും മലയാളത്തെ കൊല്ലാക്കൊല ചെയ്യുന്ന അവതാരകരും ഉണ്ടെനന്നത് ഭവതി മറക്കുകയും ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാര്‍ തന്നെ ഒരു സിനിമയില്‍ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ ‘അത് എന്നെ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചാണ്, എന്നെത്തന്നെ ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചാണ്, എന്നെ മാത്രം ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചാണ്’ എന്നു വിലയിരുത്തി അദ്ദേഹം (മിസ്റ്റര്‍ മൂണ്‍)ഭവതിയെ അപകീര്‍ത്തിപ്പെടുത്തിയെന്നു പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ച് പത്രത്തില്‍ ലേഖനമെഴുതിയത് ഭവതി അവകാശപ്പെടുന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള ഒരു പ്രൊഫഷനലിസമോ തൊലിക്കട്ടിയോ ഭവതിക്ക് ഇല്ല എന്നതിനു തെളിവാണ്.
Moreover, all this happened on national television!- ഏഷ്യാനെറ്റിനെ നാഷനല്‍ ടെലിവിഷന്‍ എന്നു വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചത് എന്തര്‍ത്ഥത്തിലാണ് എന്നു മനസ്സിലായില്ല. പൊട്ടക്കിണറ്റിലെ തവള ഇതാണ് വിശാലമായ ലോകം എന്നു പ്രഖ്യാപിക്കുന്നതുപോലെയാണെങ്കി
The man in question, who from now I shall refer to as Mr Moon, clearly overstepped the limits of what to say when and where, and to my agravation, had no regard or respect for the event at hand or the people concerned.- ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാര്‍ (മിസ്റ്റര്‍ മൂണ്‍)എവിടെ,എന്ത് എങ്ങനെ പറയണം എന്നറിയാത്ത ഒരു വിടുവായനാണ് എന്നാണ് ഭവതി ഉദ്ദേശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നതെന്നു തോന്നുന്നു. ജഗതി ശ്രീകുമാര്‍ മലയാളികളെ സംബന്ധിച്ച് പറയേണ്ടത് എവിടെയും വെട്ടിത്തുറന്നു പറയുന്ന മഹാനടനാണ്. ജഗതിയെപ്പോലുള്ള ഒരു താരത്തെ ക്ഷണിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം ആരാണെന്നും എന്തു സംസാരിക്കുമെന്നും ഒരു മുന്‍ധാരണയെങ്കിലും ഏഷ്യാനെറ്റിലെ ഭവതിയുടെ സുഹൃത്തുക്കള്ക്കുണ്ടാവേണ്ടതാ
അദ്ദേഹം സംസാരിച്ചത് പ്രേക്ഷകര്‍ക്കു വേണ്ടിയും ജനങ്ങള്‍ക്കു വേണ്ടിയുമാണ് എന്ന് ഭവതിക്കു മനസ്സിലാവണമെങ്കില്‍ ആ പ്രഭാഷണം സോഷ്യല്‍ മീഡിയയിലൂടെ പ്രചരിക്കുന്ന വേഗവും കുതിപ്പും കാണണം. അവരെല്ലാം ജഗതിച്ചേട്ടനു കയ്യടിക്കുന്നത് ഭവതി കേള്‍ക്കുന്നില്ലേ ? ജഗതിച്ചേട്ടനു കുഴപ്പമുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ തീര്‍ച്ചയായും നല്ലൊരു ശതമാനം മലയാളികള്‍ക്കും കുഴപ്പമുണ്ട്. ചിലപ്പോള് ഭവതി മാത്രമാവാം ശരി.പക്ഷെ, ഭൂരിപക്ഷത്തിന്റെ അഭിപ്രായം വിജയിക്കുന്ന ജനാധിപത്യത്തെയും അഭിപ്രായസ്വാതന്ത്ര്യത്തെയും ഭവതി മാനിക്കുന്നു എന്നാദ്യമേ പറഞ്ഞ നിലയ്ക്ക് ജഗതിച്ചേട്ടന്‍ പറഞ്ഞ കാര്യങ്ങളെ അപകീര്‍ത്തികരമെന്നു കരുതി തള്ളക്കളയാതെ നന്നാവാന്‍ പരിശ്രമിക്കണമെന്നാണ് എന്റെ വ്യക്തിപരമായ അഭിപ്രായം.
It was further uncomfortable as I had to stand right next to Mr Moon hearing him diss me in front of an audience. I had to somehow smile through the excruciating process and then continue on as if nothing happened.-മുകളില്‍ പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ അവതാരക എന്നാരെങ്കിലും പറഞ്ഞാല്‍ അത് ഭവതിയെപ്പറ്റിയാണ് എന്ന മിഥ്യാധാരണയില്‍ നിന്നുണ്ടായ പ്രശ്നമാണ്. പിന്നെ സ്മൈല് എന്നു പറയാവുന്ന തരത്തിലുള്ള ചിരിയായിരുന്നില്ല ഭവതിയുടേത്. ഗംഭീരമായ ചമ്മലില്‍ നിന്നുരുത്തിരിഞ്ഞ ‘വെടലച്ചിരി’ എന്ന വിഭാഗത്തില്‍പ്പെട്ട എന്തോ ഒന്നിനെയാണ് ഭവതി സ്മൈല് എന്നു വിശേഷിപ്പിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. സ്മൈല് എന്ന വാക്കിനോടുള്ള വെല്ലുവിളിയായി ഞാനിതിനെ കാണുന്നു.
