As a spectator I wish to see only one outcome out of this entire dramas… the govt and and the political class getting a strong feedback on how they are being viewed by the public and how angry and disgusted the public (the middle class new generation)are with the prevailing rampant corruption. I also wish the govt to act accordingly.. by toughening up the laws or by adding some tooth to the govt lokpal bill..
I too agree with the feedback part that Thomachan told. Govt. will realise that there is lot of public cry over corruption.

അന്നയുടെ സമരം ജയിക്കുമോ തോല്‍ക്കുമോ എന്നല്ല, അഴിമതി കൊണ്ട് പൊരുതി മുട്ടിയ ജനം അതിനെതിരെ ആര് ശബ്ദിച്ചാലും കൂടും എന്നതാണ് ഈ സമരത്തിലെ സന്തേശം. ഇത് അക്രമാസക്തം ആകട്ടെ. എങ്കിലേ ഭരിക്കുന്നവര്‍ക്ക് ഒരു പേടി വരൂ, എന്ത് കാണിച്ചാലും ചോദിക്കാനും പറയാനും ആരും ഇല്ല, അഥവാ ചോദിച്ചാല്‍ അവനെ ഒതുക്കം എന്ന സ്ഥിതി മാറട്ടെ. ഇതിനെ എല്ലാം എതിര്‍ക്കുന്ന ഒരു ശക്തി ഉണ്ട് എന്ന പേടി ഉണ്ടങ്കില്‍ കക്കുമ്പോള്‍ കൈ വിറക്കും, ഇല്ലങ്കില്‍ എന്തും ചെയ്യാം എന്ന ദാര്‍ഷ്ട്യം ആയിരിക്കും.

Well written… this view is good, stereotypical & copybook, indeed there are enough reasons to be cynical against the ongoing agitation…
As a spectator I wish to see only one outcome out of this entire dramas… the govt and and the political class getting a strong feedback on how they are being viewed by the public and how angry and disgusted the public (the middle class new generation)are with the prevailing rampant corruption. I also wish the govt to act accordingly.. by toughening up the laws or by adding some tooth to the govt lokpal bill..I also wish the govt to not fully bow down before the civil society thus undermining the parliamentary democracy..i wish govt to bring Anna to dialogue.. and settle the matter… I like to support Anna to bring some changes.. to make a ‘public statement’ that a peaceful non-party protest can achieve some goals… which has never happened in independent india..
The democratic way for Anna as per the constitution is to form a party, with this bill in the manifesto, contest the election and win majority and then form the law…will it be possible? By seeing the response this agitation has evoked, if some other Anna/or any party do the same in the democratic way in the next elections.. it will be good…
Thus this movt certainly have the potential to evolve in to something big, something good…atleast in the future.. Since I have almost entirely lost any hope in the political class.. I like to support Anna… in the expectation that this will bring some change in politics..

Anna is acting like a super prime minister
He is no one to give a deadline to a elected GOVT for passing a bill .Which is not acceptable for anyone who believes in democracy.
If the Govt pass the bill on his fight, tomorrow there could another 1000 fake annas be statrted fighting with malicious political intensions againt the elected Govt in the different part of India. Which, I believe, will ruin the parliamentary system. Forming a new party and facing election is also not an ultimate solution for wiping out the curruption. Gandhiji was one of the founder members of congress party(if I'm not wrong), Now party is also corrupted. So even if Anna form a new party it will eventually get corrupted.
I belive it is we people and our attitudes should change first. We should start not giving bribery. And more and more young and educated people should enter into the politics. That way we can correct the system gradually. If you think that we can change India in one or 2 years that is absured.
In india we have a lot of politicians but very few statemen and that is India's curse...
