The rupee symbol

Surya A:- A mail forward
The Government of India wants your help. It has invited the public to suggest a symbol for the Rupee. Just as the Dollar is universally denoted by $‚ the government thinks the Rupee should also have its own unique symbol that captures a sense of India’s history and culture.Listed below are 19 suggestions from ET’s team of designers. Please vote for the one you find best. ET will present all these symbols ‚ along with the ET viewers’ preference‚ to the Ministry of Finance . And‚ if you don t like these and have a symbol of your own to offer, mail it to us at editoret@indiatimes.co.in So hone your design skills and choose the right symbol for the Rupee.

Jino: Surya,

I am suggesting the below symbol for rupee.

I think this symbol resembels the history and culture

Please let me know if you have any comments on this symbol.

Surya A :- Vazhy il veenu kidakkunna pazham tholi pole onde :(

Jino:-

The vertical symbol represents the multi culture of the nation..
The horizontal line represents the unity in diversity.
the cross line on multi culture and unity in diversity represents the fighting against english and development....
wow... a conical line on this really meaningful to atomic reseach, scintific developments and the culture

Arshad:- Sherikkum endhaaadaaaaaaaaaaaaaa nee udheshiche???????????

Jino:- cross line represents 2 things
1. freedom fighter fights against english people
2. it represents development also/

Thampi :-athaanallo usthaad varshangal aayi cheyth kond irikkunnath
